Equine Sales Process and Details

 

A detailed description, including height, age, and history, are provided by the seller. We cannot guarantee the accuracy of this information, and it is buyer's responsibility to verify any details before proceeding with the sale. Always ensure you have a clear understanding of the horse's to make an informed decision.

​The seller is responsible for disclosing all relevant information regarding the item or service being offered. This includes any pertinent medical history, vices, and behavioral problems that may affect the buyer's decision. Transparency these areas ensures a fair and informed transaction for all parties involved.

All horses are available for veterinary checks at the purchaser's discretion. The cost of these checks will be the responsibility of the purchaser. We encourage thorough evaluations to ensure the well-being and suitability of each horse. Please feel free to reach out with any questions regarding this process.

To secure the sale of a horse, a £500 deposit is required. This deposit is refundable only if the horse fails a vetting. The final payment must be completed before the horse leaves with the purchaser. We accept payments via bank transfer, cash and card payments, with ownership officially transferred once the horse is paid in full.

Upon completion of the sale, liability for horse's health and safety will transfer from the seller to the buyer. This means that the buyer assumes full responsibility for the horse's well-being immediately following the. It is essential for the buyer be aware of this change in responsibility to ensure care and management of the horse.

A formal sales agreement will be prepared by the seller for all parties to sign. This document outline the specific details of the sale, including any warranties disclosures that are relevant to the transaction. It's essential that all parties review the agreement thoroughly to ensure clarity and mutual understanding before signing.

Dispute Resolution: 

Consumer Rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 (for purchases from a trader)

  • 30-Day Right to Reject: 

    A buyer can reject the horse and get a full refund if it's not of satisfactory quality, not fit for purpose, or not as described. 

  • Right to Repair or Replace: 

    After 30 days, the consumer must give the dealer at least one chance to repair or replace the horse if a breach is found. 

  • Final Right to Reject: 

    If the repair or replacement is impossible or fails, the buyer has a final right to reject the horse for a refund.
